"Throughout the world today, people are feeling a loss of humanity and a sense of purpose in life. These times have also been described as being mired in "intellectual and philosophical turmoil".
Because of this, humanity, hope and vitality, "are the treasures of our age" (Wow!). And the philosophy of Buddhism, which people can trust and rely on to manifest these treasures, is the most important, fundamental treasure of all."
"These treasures exist within the Soka Gakkai". To find the source of these treasures, one must seek Nichiren Buddhism, which illuminates the ultimate Law of life and the philosophy of human dignity.
The Daishonin says, "All the various teachings of the Buddha are spread by persons. Hence if the Law that one embraces is supreme, then the person who embraces it must accordingly be foremost among all others." (Gosho "Questions and Answers about Embracing the Lotus Sutra").
The Great Law of Buddhism is "revealed and spread by people". No matter how great the Law is, without people, it cannot spread. And if the Law is supreme, then those who spread it surpass all others.
